wizpy Boot Help

- Regular Boot (USB-CDROM/USB-HDD)

1. Connect wizpy and PC with USB cable.
2. Turn on PC.
3. wizpy OS starts booting.


* BIOS settings may have to be modified in order to allow wizpy OS to boot. wizpy OS can boot by changing the boot order of USB CD/HDD as first priority.


- Changing BIOS Configuration
1. At the initial boot screen, press the key to enter the BIOS ([F2], [Delete] or other key)
* Hotkey assigned for entering BIOS varies between vendors.
i.e. DELL: [F2] EPSON: [Delete] TOSHIBA: [F12]

2. BIOS Window
* You cannot use mouse in BIOS. [Tab], [Pg Up], [Pg Dn], [Home], [End], [Space] or [Enter] keys are used to navigate through BIOS. Please refer to instruction on BIOS window.


3. Select [BOOT]

4. Changing BOOT Order
* CD-ROM, Hard Disk and other devices are shown in Boot Order. Specify USB device as a primary boot device.

5. Store BIOS Configuration
* Confirmation message is displayed to save BIOS. Confirm by selecting "Y" and exit.
Confirmation message may differ between vendors.

6. wizpy OS boots after PC is rebooted if wizpy is conncected.

* wizpy is recognized as "USB-CDROM" with the default configuration. If the PC cannot boot from "USB-CDROM", wizpy can be recognized as "USB-HDD" by changing configuration.

- Configuring "Boot Device" option of wizpy
1. Press center key and turn on wizpy.
2. Hold down m key til menu is shown.
3. Move to SETTING by pressing left, right, up or down key and press center key to enter SETTING.
4. Move to SYSTEM menu by pressing left or right key.
5. Select Boot Device and press center key.
6. Select USB HDD and press center key.



- Boot wizpy OS: Using wizpy OS boot disk

1. Insert wizpy OS boot disk to a PC.
2. Connect wizpy and a PC with USB cable.
2. Turn on a PC.
3. wizpy OS starts to boot.


* BIOS configuration may have to be modified. To use wizpy OS boot disk, you need to change BIOS and set CD-ROM as primary boot sequence.
Refer toChanging BIOS Configuration.


- Boot wizpy OS: Boot from grub for dos

When BIOS configuration cannot be changed, you can boot wizpy OS by installing a wizpy boot program to MS Windows.

1. Start MS Windows

2. Connect wizpy and a PC with USB cable.
3. Confirm wizpy is recognized as USB device from My Computer.
4. Open wizpy(USB Device) by double clicking
5. Double click setup.exe
6. Follow the instruction and install application.
7. Restart a PC after install is finished.
8. Boot selection window gets displayed.

i.e. Microsoft WindowsXP Home Edition
Start Grub
9. Select [Start Grub] and press [Enter]

* If wizpy's boot device configuration is set as "USB HDD", wizpy's CD-ROM device will not show up under My Computer.Please set wizpy's boot device configuration as "USB CDROM" before installing. Please refer toConfiguring "Boot Device" option of wizpy.
* grub for dos does not support Windows Vista.
